We tend to rewrite the work of others for a variety of reasons: the schedule, our opinion, belief that the writer didn’t care about their work, assumption that the writer is incapable, etc…
If we’re honest with ourselves, however, our inclination to rewrite is often directly proportional to our inability to give clear guidance, instruction and coaching to the writers we work with.
How about we start acknowledging the latter and trying to improve that?
